As refrigeration technology continues to evolve and improve, Carrier Transicold and its service centers understand the importance of keeping technicians' skills sharp. Carrier Transicold is committed to providing unsurpassed training, supporting thousands of personnel at more than 400 service centers around the world. The comprehensive suite of refrigeration unit and generator set educational courses, which was expanded in 2016 with online learning opportunities, enables service and repair technicians to troubleshoot and maintain customer equipment for peak operating performance, whether the latest NaturaLINE ® models or a classic ThinLINE ® unit. "The introduction of online courses expanded the availability of learning opportunities while enabling us to strengthen some of our traditional instructor- led courses with more hands-on practical exercises that reinforce good troubleshooting and service practices," said Thomas Graf, global training manager, Container Service, Carrier Transicold. "The combination of online learning, the revised instructor-led courses and on-the-job experience provides multiple paths for service personnel to acquire the knowledge and skills to be considered a Carrier refrigeration technician," Graf added. According to Graf, more online course topics are under development, and courses currently available only in English will be offered in other languages. In the year ahead, instructor-led courses are already scheduled in 27 cities on six continents, accommodating seven languages. Registration for instructor-led courses is limited.
