From novice to veteran, technicians of all skill levels can benefit from Carrier Transicold's comprehensive curriculum for container refrigeration unit and generator set maintenance. And now, in addition to our traditional classroom and hands-on curriculum, which is taught on a rotating basis in major port cities each year, Carrier is introducing new online training modules that provide 365/24/7 access to container refrigeration service fundamentals virtually everywhere! "For the first time, Carrier Transicold container service technicians and customers anywhere in the world with internet access can build their skills via computer," said Mike Dormer, general manager, Global Container Services. "Technology has enabled online learning to become much more practical, and we've developed this in response to our service centers' needs and interests. "Online learning is a great way to cast a wider training net, enabling more technicians to improve their knowledge of Carrier systems," Dormer said. "Additionally it will enable us to be more responsive in terms of updating and broadcasting new and advanced training support as our equipment technology evolves." Initial course offerings include six online courses as shown below. Also shown is the schedule for traditional instructor-led, hands-on learning opportunities for the remainder of the year. INITIAL ONLINE COURSE OFFERINGS Safety: Overview of key safety considerations for working on Carrier container refrigeration equipment; includes an introduction to the Carrier Transicold Container Online Learning environment.
