Top Performers Achieve Excellence An expansive global network of service centers stands behind every Carrier Transicold container refrigeration unit and generator set. Our service centers are dedicated to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement, and one of the key tools in helping them achieve excellence is Carrier's Top Performance Program. 10 ContainerLINE April 2014 | CareMAX Program EMEAR achievers for 2013 and their Carrier Transicold service representatives include, from left to right, Arnold Stout and Dean Bouch, both of Carrier Transicold; Barry Solleveld of Smith-Holland; John Zeegers of Seamark Reefer Services; Shaun Bretherton of Carrier Transicold; Jaume Vilardebó of Depot Zona Franca; Julian Carbunaru of Carrier Transicold; John Sparkes of Gulftainer; Erling Vester of Carrier Transicold; and Khalid Al Marri of DP World UAE Region. Nearly 100 representatives from EMEAR region service centers and Carrier Transicold attended the two-day summit in Athens, Greece, where product updates and services were reviewed and awards recognizing achievement were presented. The Top Performance Program provides an objective measurement tool and helps service centers to develop their businesses in the ways that matter most to our customers, with metrics for customer satisfaction, employee development, market knowledge, business planning and replacement components. At separate service meetings in the fourth quarter of 2013, the Top Performance Program proudly recognized operations from two important Carrier Transicold regions: the Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia (EMEAR) region and Oceania, serving ports in Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. EMEAR A multiple winner of special recognition awards over the years, Smith-Holland B.V. of Spijkenisse, the Netherlands, was named Top Performer of the EMEAR region. "Smith-Holland achieved this award for exceptional overall performance and support to Carrier Transicold and our customers across all measured levels and functions," said Shaun Bretherton, Carrier Transicold regional service manager for EMEAR. Founded 44 years ago, Smith-Holland was one of the original service providers for Carrier Transicold container refrigeration systems in Europe. It has expanded its presence throughout Northern Europe, including ports in France, Belgium and Germany, all the while maintaining its founder's conviction to quality and customer commitment. Special recognition within EMEAR was also given to Gulftainer Co. Ltd. of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE), for Good Business Practices; D.P. World UAE Region, Dubai, UAE, for Service Innovation; Depot Zona Franca S.A. of Barcelona, Spain, for Good Workshop Practices; and Seamark Reefer Service B.V. of Rotterdam, the Netherlands, for service programs support. The EMEAR service meeting was held in Athens, Greece, and featured guest speakers from Maersk Line and technology provider Hans Følsgaard A/S.
